Electrical Control Cabinet Dust Removal and Circuit Inspection

In a fiber laser cutting machine, the electrical control cabinet is the core of the control system, responsible for transmitting and controlling the entire machine’s electrical signals. Maintaining its cleanliness and maintaining stable circuits are crucial for long-term, reliable operation.

Ⅰ. Why should the electrical control cabinet be inspected regularly?

Excessive dust accumulation inside the control cabinet, or loose or aged wiring, can easily lead to component overheating, signal interruption, short circuits, and even control system failure, resulting in downtime or equipment damage.

Ⅱ. Key Maintenance Points:

1. Dust Removal:

* Use a dry cloth or anti-static vacuum cleaner to clean dust from components;

* Avoid using compressed air to prevent dust from entering gaps;

* Clean the fan and filter to ensure proper ventilation and prevent overheating of the control cabinet.

2. Circuit Inspection:

* Check all cables for signs of aging, damage, or looseness;

* Tighten terminals and grounding screws to prevent malfunctions caused by poor contact;

* Ensure signal cables are securely connected and free of pulls or bends.

3. Component Condition Inspection:

* Check relays, contactors, circuit breakers, etc. for abnormalities such as burnout and detachment.

* If any faulty components are found, replace them promptly to avoid further problems.

Ⅲ. Recommended Maintenance Cycle:

It is recommended to conduct a comprehensive inspection of the electrical control cabinet every 1-2 months. If the working environment is dusty, the inspection frequency should be increased appropriately.
