Fiber Laser Welding Machine Cooling System Maintenance ——Coolant Replacement and Waterway Cleaning Methods

Cooling system maintenance is often overlooked in daily fiber laser welding machine use, yet it is crucial for ensuring stable equipment operation. Recently, industry experts reminded users that timely coolant replacement and waterway cleaning can effectively prevent equipment failures caused by overheating or blockage.

After prolonged operation, coolant can accumulate sediment, impurities, or algae, impairing cooling efficiency and even corroding the pipes. Therefore, it is recommended that users replace the coolant regularly every 3-6 months, selecting a specialized coolant suitable for local water quality and climate. Before replacement, drain any old liquid thoroughly and flush the waterway with clean water or a specialized cleaning agent to ensure no residue remains within the system.

Waterway cleaning is also a key maintenance priority. If the waterway remains uncleaned for an extended period, scale and impurities can easily accumulate, reducing cooling efficiency. When replacing the coolant, users should thoroughly inspect and clean the water tank, filter, and pipes to prevent poor circulation that can lead to laser overheating or unstable power.

A representative from Jinan REZES CNC Equipment Co., Ltd. stated, “The cooling system is like the ‘heart’ of the machine. If it’s not properly maintained, it can easily lead to a cascading failure. We recommend that customers develop the habit of regularly replacing the coolant and cleaning the water lines to ensure long-term, stable operation of the equipment.”

With the widespread application of laser welding technology across various industries, scientific and rational maintenance has become crucial to ensuring equipment life and processing quality. Never neglect routine maintenance of the cooling system.
