Among them, the gas source filter, as one of the core components, undertakes important tasks such as filtering impurities and oil-water separation. Regular maintenance of the filter, especially timely drainage and replacement of the filter element, is the key to ensuring the efficient operation of the equipment.

Ⅰ. Why maintain the gas source filter?

Fiber laser cutting machines use high-purity gases (such as compressed air, oxygen or nitrogen) for cutting. Once moisture, oil mist and impurities in the air enter the cutting head or pipeline, it will not only affect the cutting effect, but also may damage the optical path and valve body, causing equipment failure or increased maintenance costs.

Ⅱ. How to drain water correctly?

Check the water storage cup every day: The bottom of the gas source filter is usually equipped with a water storage cup, and it is necessary to check whether there is water accumulation every day.

Manual drainage: Some models are equipped with a manual drain valve, which can be operated in the off state.

Automatic drainage system: If equipped with an automatic drainage device, it should also be checked regularly to see if its working state is normal.

Ⅲ. How often should the filter element be replaced?

Recommended cycle: According to the frequency of use and the quality of the air source, the filter element is generally replaced every 3-6 months.

Replacement steps:

1. Turn off the air source and release the internal pressure;

2. Remove the filter housing and take out the old filter element;

3. Replace with a genuine new filter element;

4. Check the sealing after reinstalling.

IV. Maintenance suggestions

Ensure that the compressed air is dried before use;

Check the pressure gauge regularly to prevent abnormal air pressure caused by filter blockage;

Choose a filter element that is consistent with the original model to avoid performance degradation.
